Remove. Replant. Regenerate.
Invasive plants are aggressive. They choke out native plants that have evolved to sustain the natural ecosystem.
-
Invasive Vegetation Removal & ControlWe offer ecologically safe removal of the harmful non-native invasive plants prevalent throughout the Georgia piedmont like English ivy, kudzu, wisteria, privet, wintercreeper, elaeagnus, nandina, porcelain berry, Japanese knotweed, and more. Our crews are specially trained to identify and protect the beneficial native plants so they will thrive once the invasive ones are controlled. Crews work mostly with hand tools. We never broadcast spray toxic herbicides but will selectively use limited cut & treat herbicide applications when absolutely necessary.
-
Native Plant Design & InstallationWe help turn your native plant vision into reality. We work with you to select the right native plants for the right place and habitat on your site. We deliver a planting plan and handle all the logistics for plant installation like ordering, delivery, planting & mulching. Our relationships with multiple local native plant nurseries guarantee a wide selection of plants for your pollinator garden, wildlife habitat, woodland or wetland restoration.
-
Regular Site MaintenanceEvery natural habitat requires regular routine maintenance to keep it free from the proliferation of invasive non-native intruders. Our crews can establish a routine schedule to keep your site healthy if you are unable to perform the service yourself (which we are happy to teach you to do). Maintenance visits usually involve less effort and thus can be cheaper than a control session. This service is offered to homeowners, commercial businesses and community parks or greenspaces.
-
Mulching & Tree Health ServicesProper mulching is one of the most important things you can do to enhance soil health and thus nurture your trees and other plants for long term survival. We will work with you to obtain mulch for free from a local tree service or to order it from a local service and then to spread it correctly over your habitat. We also work with certified arborists who will help you save your trees not just cut them down.
-
Habitat CertificationsWe encourage all our clients to certify their site as a recognized native habitat to help spread the word on the benefits of removing non-native plants and replacing them with beautiful beneficial native ones. We help you meet the certification requirements from many different organizations. We can even do the paperwork for you. Organizations with certifications that we can help you with: Georgia Native Plant Society Silver & Gold certifications; Georgia Audubon Wildlife Sanctuary certification; Homegrown National Park map listing; National Wildlife Federation Wildlife Habitat certification; Monarch Waystation certification; Xerces Society Pollinator Habitat recognition; Georgia Green Landscape certification.
